The Rocky River Middle School Interact Club hosted an after-school “new kids’ party” on Thursday, September 28. Club members distributed personal invitations to each new sixth, seventh, and eighth grade student, and also decorated the new students’ lockers.

Music and games, as well as a food and beverage table, were included. The Rotary Club of Lakewood and Rocky River provided pizza. The event was well-attended and the new students felt welcomed in their new school.

Also in attendance were Rotary past president, Mark Bacon, and wife Cindy; Rotarian and Rocky River Board of Education member, Dr. Jon Fancher, and wife and Interact Club advisor, Mary; Rotarians Jay Rounds and wife, Jean; and Rocky River Board of Education member, Diana Leitch. Middle School principal, Megan Rose, captured this photo.
